Get ready for a 2026 release Last September, Nintendo revealed Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup In Bellabel Park would be arriving in Spring 2026. We haven't really heard anything about it since then, and now in a slight development, a rating has been spotted on the Entertainment Software Rating Board. Here it is: This hopefully means an update about this title is nearby, and perhaps Nintendo will lock in a release date. When Bellabel Park opens its doors, according to Nintendo, you'll be able to experience a variety of attractions where you team up (or work against) friends and family to collect the most coins, run and hide in "Phanto tag", and much more. As for the Switch 2 Edition, this version of the game will "other content and enhancements", with more details to be revealed in the future. You can find out a little more about what to expect in our previous story. Meetup in Bellabel Park Wonder boy Following a Switch 2 rating for Pikmin 3 Deluxe A Galaxy of goodies Would you be revisiting Super Mario Bros. Wonder in 2026? Let us know in the comments. [source esrb.org, via gonintendo.com] Nintendo made DLC for NSMBU so this isn't a huge surprise. What I want to know is the "other" content they haven't shown off. Fairly certain I'm not alone. That is one of the most insane Nintendo game titles of all time I didn't ever get around to buying Wonder, so I suppose I will get this later down the line like Kirby.' Do any of the new features work with Wonder's Dark Souls-y drop-in / asynchronous online multiplayer? I always thought that was one of the cooler elements of the game. I'd love to see it used in some new ways, even just for minigames. I really wanted to give Wonder another chance with a Switch 2 edition after I was a bit too harsh with the original. I'm hoping Rosalina is playable and the Koopalings might imply that there's more bosses. The lack of bosses was my biggest complaint. March seems to me like the perfect month to release this. This should be out before the Mario Galaxy Movie. Nintendo: We have a new title for the Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros Wonder! Players: ooooo, what is it? Nintendo: New Super Duper Wooper Mario Bros. I haven't really gotten many switch 2 editions yet, but I'm really considering this one. Will have to see though. I feel like, given the end of the trailer for this in the September Direct, the name really undersells the content. It really ought to be called Super Mario Bros. Wonder --- Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, a Multiplayer-Themed Area with 3 Major Sections + The Koopalings Are Back For Some Brand New Shenanigans + Rosalina Is Here In Some Capacity Probably To Promote The Super Mario Galaxy Movie + Oh Shoot Its Captain Toad, the Guy Who Appeared In Such Games as Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo Selects), Super Mario Galaxy (Nintendo Switch), Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario 3D World (Nintendo Selects), Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker (Nintendo Selects), Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker (Nintendo 3DS), and Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker (Nintendo Switch), Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan, Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood, Super Nintendo World at Universal Epic Universe, et cetera + 4K Enhancements + I don't give a damn if someone already made the long title joke in this comment section, I was already writing this + There's these Bellabel flowers now + It hasn't been confirmed that there are any new Wonder effects + Game Key Card I'd like to see 120fps for this game. Don't care at all about multiplayer so I'm hoping the single player additions are worthwhile. @ParrakerriRush …No Poochy? I'm sure there's a lot of stuff people wanted for a Mario Wonder Switch 2 Edition, and more Multiplayer stuff was not anywhere on the first half of that list. Though unlike the Jamboree one at least it (probably) won't need multiple pieces of new equipment to use. I mean I liked the game ok but what is a Switch 2 edition really going to offer that the original did not? I assume we'll hear more either in a direct or on Mario day. If it has some interesting single player content, I'll definitely grab the upgrade. @LuigiMario There will definitely be an upgrade pack. That's basically how Nintendo defined the difference between a 'Switch 2 edition' of a Switch 1 game versus a 'Switch 2 game'. It's just Switch 2-exclusive paid DLC. @shoeses Yeah, the original game already had couch co op and a couple variations of online play; I don't feel like it particularly needed more multiplayer but there was a ton of single player stuff I feel could be added. ...Is it sad I forgot this is coming? I'm curious to see what all the additions are. As things currently stand, the multiplayer elements - while nice for those who want them - do nothing for me. @LuigiMario The upgrade pack will become preorderable whenever a release date is announced, currently there’s just a vague “Spring 2026” window. I'm yet to get Mario Wonder, so I suppose a physical NS2E cart will be for me. March 10? Aka Mar10 day? Super Mario Brothers Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Plus Meetup in Bellabel Park. Nintendo could you please make the title longer? This game was a lot of fun, but not something I want to play with other people so most of this extra stuff isnt for me. I think it would be fun to 100 percent it one day Guess we've got to wait a little longer for an M-rated Mario game. @Lizuka exactly…. I only have the opportunity to play multiplayer a few times per year. I know Nintendo wants to encourage multiplayer, but do they have to shove it down our throats? More cheap Switch 2 content....Yay I'm surprised it got an E rating. I thought it would be a T rating at the minimum I passed on the DKB $20 dlc b/c it didn't seem worth it. I bought the Kirby Forgotten Land $20 dlc b/c Best Buy emailed me a $10 credit which much to my surprise worked, so for $10 I'm hoping it's worth it, whenever we get around to it, maybe after the Super Bowl. I need to see more of this. And get another Best Buy $10 credit email. I loved SMB Wonder, I have zero interest in multiplayer stuff, crossing my fingers on some good single player stuff. Some more expert difficulty levels would be awesome Is this going to be multiplayer updates only or is there going to be some single player content as well? Going to have to see what additional bonuses they offer for single player before I even consider this. I like that they’re adding more multiplayer stuff, but sadly none of it would apply to me. @Dev-N Yes sire!!! Will add right away, sire! @UpsideDownRowlet Lovely... Absolute Cinema! ✋😐🤚 I didn’t finish Wonder, so I’ll eventually get back to it on Switch 2 but what is up with that title? Makes my eyes bleed Nintendo really peaked with the switch 1 it seems, the lineup of 1st party is lacking for this year. Like a fair few of the other commenters, I await the potential changes to single player experience. Loved this game so will do another playthrough if there is enough content in the Switch 2 edition aside from just multiplayer options. Thanks, but no thanks. Great for newcomers, but not worth the price of admission for a bunch of MP-focused content on the easiest Mario game of the century. I'm hoping that more games can do what Mario Kart World can and use the camera to show each player as an icon above their playable character. Seems a wasted opportunity that so few games are using the camera at all. The big question is: how insane will the pricing be this time? @Hwatt They made the title longer so they can charge you per letter I really hope this update is not just Wonder Party. It does sound cool but I hope they also have something for solo players apart from just 120 fps. Because as much as I would love 120, I'm not buying a multiplayer add-on that I'm barely going to use just for that. And also as I've said numerous times the game needs a harder campaign, either the existing one or an extra one, but something for older Mario lovers out there. That multiplayer dlc really does nothing for me. That was very long title. Anyway, I'm good with my Switch 1 version. Glad they’re making a 4K update, every major Nintendo game should have that. So that’s good. Multiplayer on the other hand… sometimes I wonder with Nintendo: Unless you’re a school kid with unlimited friends and time, who has an opportunity for all that multiplayer gaming? @Dev-N Rosalina will be playable. She’s visible in one of the icons in the lower-left quadrant of the screen at 2:01 in the trailer. I was joking but now I'm worried that some suit at Nintendo actually thought that a longer title would suggest more value. @mlt 120 FPS feels like a point of diminishing returns to what a human brain can even interpret. Oh, yeah! Mario Time! (Soon) I kept holding off on this one for some reason. I am pleased I will get to experience it for the first time this way! I will get a used copy for Switch soon and then I presume we can pay for an upgrade? Looking forward to more info. Personally it seemed like it's not for me. Seeing as the additions are mostly aimed at gamechat and multiplayer. But if the upgrade isn't too costly and there's more worlds added, I might bite. Call me if they add an hard mode. Nothing kills my interest quicker than ‘we’ve added new content… it’s multiplayer’. No thanks. This game was fun for me at first. But now not anymore. I really want a Mario & Luigi Brothership switch 2 Edition with updated visuals, and new content. Love that game. I played Wonder recently and forgot how magical of an experience it was, it's definitely one of my favourite Switch games! Hopefully there's a fair bit of single player content in the Switch 2 edition. Still havent got Wonder, so I'm kind of glad I didnt now. I'll just wait for this to come out As usual glad when games get rated and so they're proceeding - as for this one in particular, looking forward to seeing/hearing more about it first and foremost (wonder if as part of a full Direct most likely in February or as an individual video dropped at some point) as they teased by slightly showing it and also explicitly mentioned that they have more to announce about its contents other than of course the precise release date! Speaking of, why are there way too many people here still ignoring (hopefully just because they genuinely don't know and not intentionally) that there's more to this than just the multiplayer? Wonder was a great game. Hoping for a sequel of sorts in next few years. I won't be rebuying any Switch 1 games that get a Switch 2 edition but good for those yet to play them. @Liam_Doolan I think you missed some words in the first sentence of your last paragraph. Might skip this one, honestly. The multiplayer focus is a total turn off and I'm not expecting there to be much single player content added because of this. I always thought it was strange the original version lacked multiplayers options. So it turns out they just want to sell it separately. Sigh. I can’t believe everyone living in the southern hemisphere gets it six months later then the northern part of the world… I'm looking forward to this version, but I'll probably save it for the Holiday season when I can play it together with friends and family over the long break. Wonder was loads of fun but they'll have to include a lot of content to make me buy a £20 DLC. @LastFootnote Nice find! I just hope the Koopalings are actual bosses and not just someone you have to chase through the levels like Nabbit in U Deluxe. i hope it drops in FEBRUARY !!!!! If Nintendo is revising the game, I want the difficulty not tied to the character. Let other gamers play as Mario on easy mode, and let me play as Yoshi on normal. @Hwatt Thanks, but I can’t take credit. I saw it on a YouTube short. @8bit-Man Define “multiplayer options”. You can 100% play the game multiplayer already. Super Mario Bros Wonder would have been fine with a free upgrade and aid DLC. It is hardly an upgrade pushing the hardware
