UPDATE: Final snowfall totals show 8 inches fell in 6 different counties A fast-moving clipper system turned New Jersey into a winter wonderland Sunday morning — at least for kids — with more than a half-foot of snow reported in several counties and a light coating of snow in many other counties. Light snow started falling late Saturday night, and it picked up in intensity early Sunday. As of 1:30 p.m., the highest snowfall totals reported across the state were in Monmouth and Ocean counties. Colts Neck and Tinton Falls in Monmouth County both had reports of 8.3 inches to top the list, followed by Whiting in Ocean County with 8.2 inches and Toms River in Ocean County with 8.1 inches.
